Stefano May fuses silky-smooth honey toned vocals with a soothing guitar riff and brooding notes of the piano on his newest release “Don’t Say Goodbye”. This single focuses on divine connection, the risks we take for true love, and the beauty shared between two people. Unparalleled rhythm and cadence carry May’s voice as he narrates the journey between a couple on the brink of a second chance in his music video for the new single. Perhaps he gets his precise pacing from his background as a classically trained pianist. While the instrumental is soulful, optimistic, and energetic, May’s vocals steal the show with bold variation and soulful runs.

“Don’t Say Goodbye” is an urgently hopeful plea between lovers that captivates the spirit and surrounds the listener in a warm-fuzzy stratosphere. The music video pays homage to May’s roots as the landscape follows magnificent vignettes of the Italian countryside. May’s enthusiasm is infectious throughout the tune as he proclaims: “I want you back in my life, couldn’t have losing you twice.” His vocal variation is as romantic and colorful as the lyrics themselves. The refrain, “don’t say goodbye,” sticks with the listener long after May’s sultry last note fades.

There are many layers to this new release from the textured vocals, to the timeless story that unfolds, to the soulful beat that carries it all. While May’s vocals guide this track, there is nothing short of brilliance at the base of the instrumental. Throughout the chorus, May’s vocals interact with beaming notes of sharp brass, celebratory tambourine, and mellow symphony of strings to create a sonic masterpiece. All of these instruments work together on the basis of emotion, conveying joy and compassion as May takes the lead with his upfront, compelling vocals.

Stefano’s latest release builds off of his dynamic career in music. While he was born in Soveria Mannelli, Italy, Stefano now lives in Miami as a pianist and singer-songwriter. He has worked alongside Franco Zeffirelli, Jamal Joseph and now works alongside esteemed producer Chico Bennett (Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Killers).
